About this role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Contract Logistics Operations Manager to join our team in Mantua, Italy.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, managing, and supervising all operational activities related to the Contract Logistics department, with a focus on the adidas Campus South warehouse.

Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with the System Management team and Customer Service team to implement the warehouse operation's strategy and ensure an efficient goods workflow.
  2. Develop and cascade logistics service-planning programs to Shift Leaders & Team Leaders and support them in implementing operational actions to achieve business goals.
  3. Plan logistics services related to specific departments, develop space utilization plans, and ensure the safety and security of all managed workforce, equipment, and property.
  4. Follow receipt, inspection, storage, delivery, handling of returned/damaged goods, maintenance, and administrative activities to meet customer requirements and comply with regulatory and quality standards.
  5. Establish, monitor, and pursue KPIs achievement related to assigned areas of management and productivity, empowering teams to deliver against their KPIs to reach warehouse and business goals.
  6. Make recommendations to the Site Manager to improve program operations.
  7. Develop procedures to ensure efficient operation and utilization of all operating equipment.
  8. Manage all operations activities related to specific departments to respect P&L guidance and avoid cost losses.

About you:

  • 2-5 years' experience in large-scale, highly automated fulfillment operations, preferably in multinational companies with matrix organizational structures.
  • Solid exposure to analytical and metric-oriented work contexts, with a deep predisposition for people engagement and respect of safety rules.
  • Experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including peers, subordinates, and leadership in operational and fast-paced work environments.
  • Expertise with people management related to small/medium-size teams, preferably in logistics and/or productive work environments, with a focus on people engagement and development.
