Job Title: Contract Logistics Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated Contract Logistics Operations Manager to join our team at Kuehne+Nagel. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for planning, managing, and supervising all operational activities related to our Contract Logistics department.

Your Role:

As a Contract Logistics Operations Manager, you will work closely with our Site Manager to develop and implement strategies to ensure efficient goods workflow and achieve business goals. You will be responsible for collaborating with our System Management and Customer Service teams to apply warehouse operation strategies and guarantee an efficient goods workflow.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement logistics service-planning programs to achieve business goals and ensure efficient goods workflow.
  • Collaborate with Shift Leaders and Team Leaders to implement operational actions and pursue warehouse and business goals.
  • Plan logistics services related to specific departments and develop space utilization plans to meet prescribed cost and service standards.
  • Ensure the safety and security of all managed workforce, equipment, and property.
  • Monitor and pursue KPIs achievement related to assigned areas of management and productivity.
  • Make recommendations to Site Manager to improve program operations.
  • Develop procedures to ensure efficient operation and utilization of all operating equipment.
  • Manage all operations activities related to specific departments to respect P&L guidance and avoid cost losses.
  • Embody company values and integrate them into your management style to inspire your team to align their behaviours with the company's goals.
Your Skills and Experiences:
  • 2-5 years' experience in large-scale, highly automated fulfillment operations with strong preference given to eCommerce/Fashion/Retail experience.
  • Solid exposure to analytical and metric-oriented work contexts with a deep predisposition for people engagement and respect of safety rules.
  • Experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including peers, subordinates, and leadership in operational and fast-paced work environments.
  • Expertise with people management related to small/medium-size teams (20-50), preferably in logistics and/or productive work environments, with a focus on people engagement and development.
  • Practice with P&L and budget management related to medium/large-size automated warehouses.
