Role Overview:

As an IT Solutions Architect, you will play a pivotal role in the design and governance of innovative solutions within Vodafone Italy's Sales Channels systems, specifically tailored for the Consumer business unit. This position involves seamless integration with a diverse array of Business Support Systems (BSS) domains, including Order Management and Inventory, as part of the dynamic Sales Channels Team.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge in the BSS applications domain, adept at identifying optimal technical solutions that enhance operational efficiency while contributing to the creation of a straightforward, effective, and future-ready customer experience. You will be tasked with comprehending business objectives and requirements, crafting solutions that deliver the necessary functionalities, and aligning with IT Architecture and Cyber Security teams to achieve the client's business aspirations. Your responsibilities will encompass managing all facets of the delivery process—from initial concept through to implementation—ensuring timely market entry, judicious budget utilization, and effective alignment with business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full accountability for projects within the Sales Channels domain
  • Functional and technical stewardship of the associated applications
  • Designing comprehensive solutions
  • Providing solution estimates
  • Overseeing supplier relationships
  • Assisting the Quality Assurance team in project certification
  • Supporting the Quality Assurance team during project rollout and stabilization
  • Engaging in project management activities

Decision-Making Authority:

Your successful delivery will contribute significantly to Vodafone's Business Transformation program, where you will be responsible for managing:

  • Cost variances
  • Time variances
  • Quality of deliverables

  • Customization index
  • Quality index
  • Time variance index

Core Competencies and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the IT sector
  • At least 3 years of experience in Agile project delivery
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Proficiency in English
  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree
  • Preferred background in Telecommunications, though not mandatory
