About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Technical Program Manager II to join our team at Expedia Partner Solutions. As a Technical Program Manager II, you will be responsible for driving the execution of technical projects within or across a small set of teams, and acting as a force multiplier to free the team to focus on technical delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Agile ceremonies without supervision, ensuring seamless project execution and delivery.
  • Assist on software development projects where Agile engineering methods are applied, leveraging your expertise to drive project success.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to define requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Track project schedules, obtaining input from working teams and keeping stakeholders informed of progress and changes.
  • Maintain program/project documentation and corresponding meetings, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Identify and track issues, developing mitigation plans to manage risk and ensure project success.
  • Monitor and report on project budgets, ensuring financial transparency and accountability.
  • Lead technical projects under supervision, applying your expertise to drive project delivery and success.
  • Interface with stakeholders, driving collaboration efforts to resolve issues and deliver results.
  • Apply holistic strategies to understand how, why, and when policies and processes are standardized or differ across the organization.
  • Independently execute tasks and provide data to support implementation of holistic solutions, forging linkages between structure, people, process, and technology.
  • Recognize and follow patterns within and across systems, identifying areas for efficiency and process improvement.
  • Articulate and present process improvement ideas to the wider business, driving change and innovation.
  • Apply new ideas and approaches to enhance outputs, using established tools and techniques to track progress.
  • Carry out stages of the product development lifecycle, bringing products to market by supporting different phases and improving product performance.
  • Support the Product Manager by learning about the various stages of the product development lifecycle.
  • Coordinate and facilitate conversations regarding product development lifecycle within the immediate team.
  • Refine understanding of the organization's processes, objectives, and challenges, and their impact on the business.
  • Develop an understanding of customers' needs and begin to develop the skills necessary to help customers understand business challenges.
  • Understand the current business environment and objectives.
  • Seek relevant information to ensure own understanding of complex information.
  • Anticipate and assist team members in creating routine technical communication materials, such as policies and procedures, guidelines, presentations, and messages.
  • Anticipate the needs of different audience groups in the business unit/function that receive technical communications and how they differ from each other.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of functional technical information, such as user flows, technical system design, and workflows.
  • Clearly and confidently articulate decision-making rationale, solutions, methodologies, and frameworks to team members and technical and non-technical partners.
  • Proactively contribute to cross-team collaboration, ensuring the best available information is included in analysis and sharing findings with peers and leaders.
  • Consider the audience's needs and context when crafting solutions or presenting ideas, identifying how the needs of different audiences may differ.
  • Exhibit knowledge of the organization's processes, objectives, and challenges and their impact on the business.
