About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Program Manager II to join our team at Expedia Group. As a Technical Program Manager II, you will be responsible for driving the execution of technical projects within or across a small set of teams, and acting as a force multiplier to free the team to focus on technical delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Agile ceremonies without supervision, ensuring seamless project execution and delivery.
  • Assist on software development projects where Agile engineering methods are applied, providing expertise and guidance to team members.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to define requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Track project schedules, obtaining input from working teams and keeping stakeholders informed of progress and changes.
  • Maintain program/project documentation, including meetings and minutes, to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Identify and track issues, developing mitigation plans to ensure risk management and project success.
  • Monitor and report on project budgets, ensuring financial transparency and accountability.
  • Lead technical projects under supervision, applying Agile methodologies and best practices to deliver high-quality results.
  • Interface with stakeholders, driving collaboration efforts to resolve issues and improve project outcomes.
  • Apply holistic strategies to understand organizational processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Recognize and follow patterns within systems, identifying opportunities for process improvement and innovation.
  • Articulate and present process improvement ideas to the wider business, driving change and adoption.
  • Apply new ideas and approaches to own work, enhancing outputs and contributing to business growth.
  • Use established tools and techniques to track progress, ensuring effective implementation of process improvements.
  • Support the Product Manager in learning about the product development lifecycle, applying knowledge to drive project success.
  • Coordinate and facilitate conversations regarding product development lifecycle, ensuring alignment and collaboration across teams.
  • Refine understanding of organizational processes, objectives, and challenges, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  • Develop an understanding of customer needs, developing skills to help customers understand business challenges.
  • Understand current business environment and objectives, seeking relevant information to ensure own understanding of complex information.
  • Anticipate and assist team members in creating routine technical communication materials, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Anticipate the needs of different audience groups, crafting solutions and presenting ideas that meet their needs and context.
  • Exhibit knowledge of organizational processes, objectives, and challenges, driving change and adoption.
Requirements
  • 2-4 years of experience in a technical project management role.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and best practices.
  • Relevant experience required or higher education.
  • Functional/Technical Skills: Communication, Project Management, Agile Practices, Process Skills and Techniques.
