Vertiv is seeking a highly skilled Technical Sales Engineer to join our team in Milan, Italy. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive technical support for Thermal Management solutions, partnering with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Provide pre-sales technical support for Thermal Management solutions, including product specifications, standard product selection, and design of new solutions where standard products do not fit.
- Develop strategic business relationships with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders, including attending events, delivering training/webinars, and proactively engaging with clients.
- Review RFQs and identify customer requirements/specifications, providing technical input to support sales efforts.
- Design and develop customized Thermal Management units to meet unique customer needs, ensuring every solution is perfectly tailored to the client's requirements.
- Collaborate with internal departments and/or external suppliers to ensure seamless integration and coordination of Thermal Management solutions.
- Provide product and application-based training to the sales community to strengthen their knowledge and expertise.
- Support the sales team with pre-sales technical support, including building proposals, quotes, and tenders, and attending technical meetings.
- 6+ years of professional experience within the Data Center industry or similar.
- Excellent knowledge of Data Center High Density trends, applications, and related thermal management complexities.
- Excellent knowledge of Uptime Institute Tier levels and related Thermal Management infrastructure design.
- Fluent English written and verbal required.
- Excellent IT skills (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and customer/sales orientation.
- High focus on customer needs, with experience in quoting/proposing/managing projects.
