We are seeking a talented Analog IC Design Engineering Director to join our team at EU077 Vishay Semiconductor Italiana S.p.A.

Vishay manufactures one of the world's largest portfolios of discrete semiconductors and passive electronic components that are essential to innovative designs in various markets. As an Analog IC Design Engineering Director, you will help manage an experienced design team and be exposed to the entire product lifecycle from definition and requirements through IC design to silicon support.

This is a pivotal role, with critical impact on the business development of the organization. You will be tasked with defining/designing and bringing to production complex analog & mixed power management ICs that are going to be at the core of High Performance Computing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development of IC architectures for Switching Regulators, DC/DC controllers, Power Stages, Smart Power Switches and other analog products.
  • Verification of design at block-level, IC level, and system level.
  • Specification and design of analog & mixed-signal sub-systems.
  • Define schedule and oversee execution in the whole product development cycle.
  • Active participation in product and technology roadmap planning and implementation.
  • Lead the team during periodic design reviews.
  • Maintenance of engineering documents in accordance with quality processes.
  • Structured tracking and implementation of design improvements.
  • Support for test-engineering, product engineering and operations as well as participation in ATE data reviews, limit reviews and device yield analysis.

Requirements:

  • M.S. in Electrical Engineering or higher qualification.
  • 20+ years of circuit design experience in Power Mgmt ICs and Switching Regulator ICs.
  • Master of power conversion topologies and underlying concepts.
  • Modelling (system-verilog, verilogams) and generating specifications and validation criteria of DC-DC converter systems and sub-systems (including ADC/DAC, Reference & biasing circuits, LDO, Oscillators, PLL, Sensors, Drivers).
  • Good understanding on how to plan for ESD and Latchup robust design.
  • Physical understanding and use experience of CMOS/BiCMOS/BCD Process Technologies as well as of vertical technologies for discrete MOSFETs.
  • Familiarity with packaging technologies, and performance implications.
  • Hands-on test and characterization of ICs. Review of test results and support to System Application Engineering, Test Engineering and Product Engineering.
  • Self-motivated, individual contributor with strong problem solving skills Maintenance of engineering documents in accordance with quality processes
  • Experience of working in wide-ranging roles and flexible environments.
  • Proven record of product development from definition to release to production
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
