Role Overview

As a Technical Application Scientist 1, you will play a pivotal role in providing expert technical guidance and troubleshooting support for our Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) and MicroArray clients. You will be an integral part of our Mediterranean Service and Support Team, contributing to the enhancement of our commercial processes to deliver exceptional technical assistance to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver phone and email support to clients, addressing both incoming inquiries and proactive outreach.
  • Analyze complex issues, considering various factors and collaborating with field staff as needed.
  • Research and resolve routine and intricate technical challenges.
  • Identify and address customer needs, creating informative materials such as webinars.
  • Communicate effectively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Troubleshoot advanced technical inquiries and document interactions in compliance with established protocols.
  • Independently manage daily tasks and seek guidance for new assignments.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key internal teams, including Research and Development and Product Support.
  • Take ownership of significant accounts as the Technical Application Scientist representative.
  • Participate in product development and sustaining teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fluency in Italian and English; proficiency in Spanish is advantageous.
  • Experience in technical support or customer service roles.
  • Practical knowledge of Illumina NGS platforms and tools is essential.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, such as SalesForce, is preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
