Position Overview
Role Objective
We are in search of an innovative, inquisitive, and driven Digital Solutions Architect who possesses outstanding strategic insight, collaborative skills, and a profound knowledge of digital evolution. This key individual will be essential in overhauling our eCommerce software infrastructure and fostering creativity within the digital division of our esteemed luxury fashion house.
We require a leader who embraces unconventional thinking and works synergistically to enhance our digital capabilities as we navigate the digital terrain. The Digital Solutions Architect will become part of a culture that prioritizes transparency and teamwork, encouraging agility and empowerment.
Reporting to the Digital Technology Manager, the Digital Solutions Architect is responsible for upholding the integrity of the enterprise architecture vision within our digital framework and advocating for the adoption of both established and cutting-edge technology strategies and capabilities to propel our ambitious digital expansion plans. This role merges thought leadership, strategic oversight, and collaboration with both global and regional technology teams. The Digital Solutions Architect will play a pivotal role in directing our digital strategy and spearheading technological innovation.
Core Responsibilities
Contribute to the architecture and design of our new eCommerce platform, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic objectives and digital transformation initiatives. Collaborate with technology teams to develop and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance eCommerce solutions. Oversee the technical decision-making process, ensuring robust architectural governance and adherence to best practices. Maintain the coherence of the enterprise architecture vision across the digital ecosystem. Lead without direct authority, mentor and guide senior engineers and technical leads, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation within the team. Advocate for sound software engineering practices, including clean code principles, management of technical debt, security considerations, and agile methodologies. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain a technical roadmap that aligns with the product vision and business objectives. Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously drive innovation and enhancement within the digital department.Essential Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 10 years of experience in various roles within technology and architecture, with at least 3 years in a senior technical capacity. Extensive experience in developing and deploying eCommerce platforms and their components such as PIM, CMS, and eCommerce engines, including enterprise-level integration patterns and associated challenges. Proven leadership abilities, with the capacity to inspire and motivate a team towards achieving shared objectives. Strong expertise in contemporary software development practices, including agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and cloud computing. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to diverse stakeholders. Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
