Job Summary

The Product Development Engineer is the technical authority for both sales and project teams for the Liquid Ring Compressors. Maintains expertise about current products and supports further improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Compressor Packages and Bare Shaft Projects:

  1. Coordinate all production processes, from designing to assembling to the actual production process.
  2. Create project builders and material masters in SAP.
  3. Review compressor performance.
  4. Arrange material requisitions and requests for purchasing for compressor manufacturing.
  5. Align with the manufacturing facility and support the manufacturing, procurement, and quality departments based on specific customer requirements through kick-off meetings and visits.
  6. Join internal P&ID and 3D model package reviews.
  7. Participate in HAZOP meetings when required.
  8. Participate in weekly project review meetings.
  9. Support instrument engineers in defining compressor interlocks and operation logic.
  10. Support the engineering team in seal system procurement.
  11. Involvement in technical meetings with clients on compressor topics.
  12. Support the aftermarket team with spare parts requirements where needed.
  13. Support the creation of new component material masters.
  14. Technical evaluation and feasibility for compressor modifications/upgrades.
  15. Support the creation of technical quotations and meetings with customers, if required.

Technical Services:

  1. Involvement in the review of customer claims or requests for assistance and connection with customers if required.
  2. Remote support to IR field engineers during their missions.
Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  1. Experience with rotating equipment and complex Engineering To Order type of business.
  2. Excellent communication skills required.
  3. The ability to develop strong working relationships with all levels of the organization, as well as vendors, suppliers, and customers, is critical to success in this position.
  4. A demonstrable track record of success and skills, with at least 5 years' experience in a technical environment.
  5. Ability to create problem resolution plans and drive to conclusion.
  6. Available to travel to the manufacturing facility or to customers when required.
  7. General knowledge of vacuum pumps, compressors, and rotating equipment principles.
  8. Fluency in Italian and English language, German language preferred.
  9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and SAP R3.
  10. Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) in Engineering.
