Monza, Lombardia, Italia Analog Devices A tempo pieno

The Industrial Connectivity and Control division is in search of a driven and innovative Senior Analog Design Engineer with extensive expertise in Power and High Voltage (HV) circuit design, specifically for industrial power and communication applications.

In this role, you will engage in all stages of the project lifecycle, from initial concept through to full product launch. Your substantial experience will enable you to contribute to process development and guide design requirements, particularly in the creation of specialized ESD protection components.

This position necessitates collaboration and coordination with various roles and departments within the organization, including analog and digital design, layout, testing, quality assurance, process engineering, and business development throughout the product development cycle.

Your high level of expertise will be acknowledged within the technology team, positioning you as a key reference and Lead Designer for complex and critical projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct design teams to innovate and develop cutting-edge products.
  • Oversee product feasibility, taking responsibility for topology selection and intellectual property (IP) decisions.
  • Define digital interactions and partitioning in collaboration with the digital lead designer.
  • Coordinate with testing leads on all Design for Test (DFT) decisions, supervising both hardware and software testing.
  • Collaborate with Product Definers to refine product definitions and specifications based on feasibility studies and personal expertise.
  • Manage product partitioning and modeling, establishing multi-chip structures to facilitate parallel design between analog and digital resources (AMS/DMS), while enabling test engineers to execute ATE DMS simulations.
  • Conduct block, macroblock, and top-level simulations (Analog/DMS/AMS).
  • Serve as a mentor and guide for less experienced designers, fostering their technical development.
  • Generate comprehensive documentation for the entire design process.
  • Lead laboratory evaluations and product debugging efforts.
  • Collaborate with Test Engineering to support all testing activities, including correlation and characterization statistical analysis to assist with product introduction.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum education: Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) with at least 5 years of experience.
  • Over 20 years of experience in analog circuit design, with a minimum of 8 years in a lead chip design role for complex multi-chip products.
  • Extensive knowledge of power design techniques, including thermal management, high current handling, current recirculation, and latch-up prevention.
  • Significant experience in HV circuit design.
  • Proficient in HV-ESD design, including protective components and design methodologies.
  • Familiarity with industrial environmental stimuli beyond HV-ESD, such as surge, EFT, and conducted immunity.
  • Experience with state-of-the-art power processes and low Vgs drive techniques, including specialized assembly methods.
  • Required experience in designing industrial interface products.
  • Knowledge of DC-DC conversion processes is advantageous.
  • Proficient in using advanced CAD tools for circuit development, particularly on the Cadence platform.
