About This Role

CAE is seeking a skilled Helicopter Simulator Technician to join our team in Sesto Calende. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our advanced aviation simulators.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and resolve complex problems in flight simulation systems
  • Collaborate with test engineers and pilots to implement updates and bug fixes
  • Support the integration of data, software, and hardware, and exchange of various assemblies
  • Perform calibration of instruments and switch systems on and off, including function testing
  • Conduct detailed fault analysis and rectification or repair of faults/components
  • Learn and perform preventive maintenance tasks on simulators and associated systems
  • Assist in diagnosing and correcting problems on simulators and associated systems
  • Utilize maintenance management systems to record and track maintenance activities
  • Perform pre-flight and post-flight checks on designated simulators
  • Perform basic visual alignments and run automatic Qualification Test Guides
  • Assist with refurbishment and hardware modifications
  • Perform administrative tasks as required
About You
  • A technical degree or 3+ years of experience in an electronic, avionic, or technical field as a technician or in a similar role
  • Extensive expertise in electrical engineering
  • Knowledge of avionics is welcome, but not required
  • Computer literacy (PC and/or computer mainframe/architecture)
  • Some experience in soldering and circuit board repairs preferred
  • Some knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and suite
  • Practical, analytical mindset with great troubleshooting skills
  • Good knowledge of Italian and English, both written and spoken
  • High level of communication and teamwork skills
