What you'll need to have

Extensive experience (minimum 10 years) in a leadership role within real estate development, preferably in large-scale retail or investment sectors.
Proven track record (minimum 10 years) in negotiating contracts with landowners, landlords, and various stakeholders.
Experience in engaging with governmental bodies and public authorities.
Strong understanding of urban planning and the permitting process.
Relevant academic qualifications in law, urban planning, architecture, or engineering.

Financial Management:
Proficient in planning, organizing, and overseeing financial resources and expenditures for a business.

Risk Assessment:
Ability to identify and mitigate risks within a business context.

Project Coordination:
Expertise in initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and concluding projects.

Change Leadership:
Skilled in developing and implementing change initiatives while managing stakeholder expectations.

Real Estate Strategy:
Comprehensive knowledge of the entire process of land scouting, acquisition, zoning, planning, development, and permitting.

Sustainable Development:
Ability to evaluate sites for sustainability compliance during real estate projects and integrate sustainability criteria into site selection processes.
Proficient in investigating, negotiating, and structuring real estate transactions, securing necessary permits, and acquiring properties to meet diverse business needs.

Leadership Skills:
Demonstrates effective leadership capabilities and the ability to inspire others.

Innovation Promotion:
Encourages creative thinking and perspectives that contribute value.

Performance Management:
Provides constructive feedback and guidance to enhance individual and team performance.

Relationship Development:

What you'll be doing day to day

Oversee efforts to secure and divest properties in alignment with the real estate strategy of the organization, delivering safe, compliant, sustainable, and innovative property solutions that fulfill business needs.

Manage and minimize costs and risks associated with property acquisition, divestment, zoning, planning, permitting, valuation, and operations.
Coordinate the procurement and contributions of necessary external consultants and stakeholders to facilitate real estate development tasks.
Assist in defining, developing, and implementing internal strategies and processes related to real estate initiatives.
Cultivate working relationships with local authorities and communities, proactively engaging with them to garner support for development, planning, and permitting of business projects such as retail units, large property developments, logistics centers, shopping malls, and mixed-use developments.
Supervise the approval and execution of all public infrastructure, utilities, and off-site improvements associated with new and existing properties.

Collaborate with other internal functions, real estate partners, and local authorities to finalize projects while ensuring compliance with legal obligations and satisfactory handover of completed projects along with necessary documentation post-acquisition and permit approval.


The role is crucial in ensuring all aspects of securing locations and related permits are effectively managed, delivering safe, compliant, sustainable, and innovative property solutions based on business requirements.
