Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Production Engineer to join our team at Rafhan Maize Products Co. Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe and efficient shift operations, effective resource utilization, and production planning at our Mehran site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Post-shift production and dispatches in the SAP system.
  • Fulfill manpower requirements for smooth shift operations.
  • Achieve shift-wise production targets in terms of quality and quantity.
  • Write shift-wise production reports and mark attendance of workers.
  • Ensure product losses are controlled.
  • Review lab results and instruct operators accordingly.
  • Follow instructions from the Divisional Head.
  • Ensure operators provide accurate information on log sheets.
  • Write shift performance reports in the logbook.
  • Ensure timely drawing of manufacturing materials and supplies from stores.
Quality Focus
  • Coordinate with the Shift Chemist to identify in-process non-conformances.
  • Ensure separate storage of different product grades.
  • Verify the functionality of weighing scales.
Maintenance and Housekeeping
  • Monitor the performance of process equipment.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of process equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Collaborate with the Shift Engineer of other divisions for shutdowns and load shedding.
Process Improvement
  • Deliver continuous improvement and innovation in operating procedures.
  • Focus on improving ways of working.
  • Apply logical and analytical approaches to problem-solving.
  • Explore process improvements through technological advancements.
Safety and Environment
  • Ensure the safety of products, process equipment, and workers during shifts.
  • Enforce the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all locations.
  • Ensure all technical work is performed with proper work permits.
  • Deliver training on EHS and production processes.
Requirements
  • B.Sc/B.E Engineering (Chemical) degree with a minimum of 1 year of experience.
  • Good manufacturing knowledge.
  • Understanding of instrumentation and DCS/SLC operations.
