Software Systems Designer

Valmet is seeking a highly skilled DE System Software Designer to join our team. As a key member of our Detailed Engineering Department, you will be responsible for designing software systems for our fold and napkin machinery.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop software systems for our machinery, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
- Program and manage software updates and improvements, including PLC, panels, and motion control.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute projects and meet manufacturing process requirements.
- Interact with customers to resolve issues and provide technical assistance.
- Prepare reports and documentation on machinery software and work progress.
- Participate in machine startups and testing, both in-house and on client sites.
- Apply technical solutions to ensure safety compliance with regulatory standards.
- Master's Degree in Electronic Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, with expertise in PLC programming (Siemens/Rockwell preferred).
- Strong knowledge of LAD, Human-Machine Interface (HMI), Safety, drive, and axis control.
- General knowledge of mechanical and fluidic systems is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with C and Visual Basic.
- Fluent in English and Italian.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with accuracy and precision.
