Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electronic devices and equipment for Valmet machinery in the Converting area.
  • Develop technical specifications for new machinery.
  • Conduct engineering analyses using scientific principles to produce and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with other R&D areas to resolve issues related to machinery and propose improvement solutions.
  • Coordinate with the design, development, production, and customer service teams to ensure activities are aligned and achieve delivery targets.
  • Propose efficient solutions for process and product development.
  • Plan and develop production processes according to customer needs.
  • Develop and apply new materials and technologies in line with technological and business advancements.
  • Perform machine tests at our company plants, and if necessary, at client facilities.

To Succeed in This Role

  • You should have a Master's Degree in Electronic/Software/Automation/Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar field.
  • Previous working experience in the automation field is appreciated.
  • You should have knowledge of PLC programming and motion control, especially Siemens and Rockwell.
  • You should be familiar with simulation tools, mainly MatLab and MatCad.
  • You should have a good understanding of Artificial Intelligence and the Internet of Things.
  • You should have high proficiency with MS Office.
  • You should have basic competences in reading hardware diagrams.
  • You should have excellent knowledge of English and Italian.
  • You should have strong analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • You should be a team player.
  • You should have organization and accuracy.
  • You should have an orientation towards innovation and achieving results.
