SMS Group S.p.A. is a leading company in the steelmaking and non-ferrous material industry, with a strong presence in Italy and worldwide.

Our company is looking for a skilled professional to fill the position of Area Site Manager Mechanical, responsible for ensuring the correct execution of the mechanical parts and equipment erection, in accordance with contractual requirements.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Supervising the installation of mechanical parts and equipment.

  • Verifying that the erection company is carrying out the job according to the time schedule, design, and technical requirements.

  • Coordinating sub-contractors and ensuring that the project is completed within the agreed timeframe.

  • Managing vendors and contractors, as well as attending meetings with the customer to discuss progress.

  • Preparing daily reports on the status of activities relevant to the supervision.

Required skills and experience:

  • Leadership skills to coordinate and manage mechanical/piping erection activities in industrial plants.

  • At least 3-5 years of professional experience in the construction of steel processing plants.

  • Knowledge in site erection and commissioning activities management preferred for steel plants.

  • Very good written and spoken English.

  • Ability to work in a team and flexibility.

  • Willingness to travel worldwide.
