Food Sourcing Specialist

The successful candidate will play a key role in optimizing the efficiency of our Food sourcing activity in global markets by implementing strategic sourcing actions to achieve optimization and improvement at all levels.
This position will work closely with the team to research, analyze, and forecast current and future buying trends, markets, and products; and develop and maintain commercial relationships with suppliers to ensure satisfactory F&B purchasing agreements reaching the best combination of quality, rates, and services.
Key Responsibilities- Source Food products worldwide in line with expected targets and in compliance with company guidelines.
- Manage and build appropriate commercial relationships with suppliers to develop strategic partnerships.
- Analyze suppliers' quotations and bids, verify product specifications, and negotiate terms & conditions.
- Evaluate market trends, proactively suggest innovative solutions and products, and use market research to strategically plan future purchases.
- Produce analytics reports and maintain accurate records.
- Work proactively with Logistics and Supply to achieve the best possible procurement agreements.
- Previous experience in the role, minimum 3 years, ideally within the cruise sector.
- Experience in the Food sector and comprehensive understanding of Food strategic sourcing and market trends.
- Fluent English, any additional language is an advantage.
- Good Excel skills, knowledge of procurement e-platforms is an advantage.
- Degree in Economics, Gastronomic Sciences, Procurement Management, Business Management (master's degree in Food and Beverage Management is a plus).
- Excellent knowledge of computer systems (knowledge of CrunchTime is an advantage).
- Strong ability to analyze and interpret quotation data and logistics options.
- Very good negotiating and communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Availability to travel.
