About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced System Engineering Manager to join our team at Alstom. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in establishing the system development strategy and implementing the system roadmap.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Leadership
    • Participate in the Program core team to drive system development and ensure successful project delivery.
    • Apply process, methods, and tools as referenced by the program development processes to ensure consistency and quality.
  • System Development Strategy
    • In collaboration with the System Program Manager, the program core team, and support of the System Architect(s), define the system development strategy and roadmap for development and sustaining.
    • Define and obtain commitments and maintain WP (Work Package) files (QCD commitments) for the system/sub-system in your scope.
  • System Engineering Management
    • Produce and maintain the System Engineering Management Plan, identifying system development strategy and baselines, processes and tailoring, technical risks, specific technical referents, and configuration management plan.
    • Ensure application of technical decision management and validate decisions together with program stakeholders.
  • System Design Reviews
    • Organize and lead system design reviews to ensure QCD commitment.
    • Coordinate system development activities, including activities performed by Participating Units or subcontractors.
  • System Delivery
    • Organize and lead system delivery together with the Configuration Manager.
    • Establish consolidated reporting on your WPs of the system development.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Participate in system development schedule review.
    • Establish QCD analysis estimation on evolution together with the program core and engineering teams.
  • Code of Ethics
    • Promote the Alstom Code of Ethics and adhere to the highest standards of ethical conduct.
