Job Description

This role involves ensuring the correct functioning of IT and logistics activities at our customer's main logistics center in Italy. As an IT Logistics Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for technical, supervisory, training, and administrative tasks.

You will work closely with the customer and our head office in Austria to ensure seamless coordination and communication. Sharing your knowledge with the team, you will act as a trainer, enabling colleagues to use software and integrate new Knapp equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage Knapp software systems (WCS, WMS, PLC, SCADA) and associated hardware
  • Ensure disaster recovery and identify root causes of problems for systems and IT issues
  • Manage incidents and problems, as well as changes to the system
  • Support the software repair process through investigation
  • Increase the stability of IT systems
  • Support the engineering/maintenance team during breakdown/repair/maintenance activities

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Dynamically prioritized workload and tasks based on current business needs
  • A good understanding of Linux operating systems and command-line interface skills
  • Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL languages, with experience in database management
  • Debugging skills and hands-on experience in database administration
  • Excellent communication and engagement skills, with fluency in English
