Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Logistics Specialist to join our team. As a Logistics Specialist, you will be responsible for the day-to-day follow-up of import and export shipments and related tasks. You will ensure that operations are smooth and in compliance, and support the Logistics Lead and handle different projects.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate, consolidate, and execute the export distribution of products when available for shipment.
  2. Proactively interface and ensure effective coordination with freight forwarders, distribution centers, air/ocean carriers, Customer Service, and Planning.
  3. Strive to minimize shipping cost by consolidating shipments as much as possible with minimal impact to transit times and operate with a sense of urgency to ensure transit times are not negatively impacted.
  4. Maintain necessary records, files, and reports and ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory guidelines applicable to record keeping and training requirements.
  5. Support the annual and cycle inventories.
  6. Comply with company health, safety, and environmental policies.

Requirements

  1. 3-5 years of experience in Supply Chain activities including customer service and/or logistics distribution processes is preferable.
  2. Consistently exhibits customer focus.
  3. Positive results-oriented attitude that promotes teamwork with peers, business units, other support areas.
  4. Effective verbal and written communication, multitasking, and computer skills.
  5. Strong problem-solving attitude.
