Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance and repair tasks on our data center infrastructure, ensuring that our facilities are always running at optimal levels.
Duties
- Operate, monitor, maintain, and respond to abnormal conditions in facility systems, including electrical, mechanical, building monitoring, and control systems.
- Use the Building Management System (BMS) and perform regular on-site checks to ensure that all systems are functioning properly.
- Manage suppliers and services, and maintain the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to ensure that all maintenance tasks are properly documented and tracked.
- Daily monitoring of maintenance service providers and ensuring cleanliness standards.
- Implementation of improvement plans and small projects to continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our data center operations.
Requirements
- Technical education (advanced technician or engineer level) in one of the following areas: Electricity (generators, UPS, low voltage distribution), climate, and cooling.
- Knowledge of fire protection and physical security (access control, video, and intrusion detection systems) or central building management systems is advantageous.
- Experience in operating data centers or similar environments.
- Versatile technical knowledge, especially in the areas of operation, maintenance, and inspection of critical systems.
- English and Italian – The minimum level required is B1.
