Job Summary
Data Center Operations Technician
Amazon is seeking a highly skilled Data Center Operations Technician to join our team. As a Data Center Operations Technician, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the electrical and mechanical infrastructure for Data Centers (DC) in Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud regions.

Key Responsibilities
Oversee the operation and maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment, including Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS's), Switchgear, Circuit Breakers, Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS's), Diesel Generators, Chillers, Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC), Exhaust Fans, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD's), and Transformers.
Troubleshoot events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLA's).
Take daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment through routine rounds/log-taking (temperatures, voltages, currents, etc.).
Supervise contractors who perform servicing or preventive maintenance.
Manual handling and lifting of equipment may be required (weight limits in accordance with health & safety regulations).

Requirements
Professional or formal Electrical Certification or Apprentice/trades certified or diploma in an Electrical field.
Demonstrate key electrical competencies (Practice & Theory) & knowledge of mechanical systems (Mechanical, HVAC systems, Controls).
Very good command of English and valid EU driving license.

Preferred Qualifications
Data Center/ mission critical engineering experience.
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline.
Familiar with Building Management System (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS) control systems and data collection/trending.
