About the Role

JM Huber Corporation, a leading global supplier of specialty and commodity chemicals, hydrocolloid solutions, engineered wood products, and natural resources, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join its IT team.

Main Responsibilities
  • Design and Implementation
    • Design, install, configure, analyze, and maintain servers, systems, storage, and subsystems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
    • Collaborate with internal resources and service providers to deliver high-quality technical infrastructure projects and operational tasks.
  • System Administration
    • Manage and maintain Windows-based operating environments, with a focus on configuration, design, and troubleshooting of Windows Server systems.
    • Apply industry best practices in building Windows environments and resolving complex system issues for both Linux and Windows systems.
  • Virtualization and Cloud
    • Proficient in VMware virtualization in on-premises and cloud settings, with hands-on experience with provisioning and managing virtual resources in hybrid cloud environments.
    • Knowledgeable in VDI and advanced skills in Citrix Workspace, along with system monitoring, backup management, and performance maintenance.
  • Security and Compliance
    • Apply operating system and security patches, with proficiency in PowerShell scripting and command line.
    • Exceptional troubleshooting skills and the capacity to visualize and implement necessary technology solutions and infrastructure.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Collaborate with IT infrastructure teams, responsible for documentation and updates as per Project Plan and DC Cloud technology.
    • Direct collaboration with vendors for third-party server/software deployment and involvement in the design and revamping of Project Plans.
    Requirements
    • Technical Expertise
      • Several years of extensive experience in Windows Server Systems Administration, specifically with Windows Server 2019 and 2022, including proficiency in Windows Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, IIS, and.Net environments.
      • Significant experience in VMware virtualization Systems Administration, focusing on ESXi 7 and vCenter 7, including knowledge of vCenter HA, vDS, and vSANs.
    • Soft Skills
      • Strong communication skills, proficiency in English.
      • Ability to work autonomously, and commitment to providing off-hours support as needed in a team-oriented environment.
    • Education and Certifications
      • Professional Certifications: Windows Certification (e.g., MCSE) and VMware Certification (e.g., VCP) are highly regarded.
