Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our team at Wolters Kluwer Italia S.r.l. in support of our Global Law & Compliance Department. As a key member of our team, you will provide hands-on legal support to our businesses operating in Italy and manage one legal professional to efficiently and effectively provide legal support across business functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serving as primary legal support to the CEO of our Legal & Regulatory Italia business, as well as the board of directors of Wolters Kluwer Italia;

  • Managing one legal professional to provide comprehensive legal support across business functions;

  • Providing legal counseling regarding corporate housekeeping, commercial, regulatory, and intellectual property matters, including legal issues related to software, content, and service offerings;

  • Partnering with management and sales, marketing, product, and finance teams to advise on day-to-day legal issues, legal risks, and best practices;

  • Providing hands-on legal assistance in structuring and drafting, negotiating, interpreting, managing, and enforcing commercial transactions and public tenders;

  • Creating and continuing the improvement of standard form agreements, playbooks, policies, and legal processes;

  • Managing disputes, litigation, and outside counsel relationships;

  • Collaborating with colleagues to drive the delivery of effective, high-quality legal services across Wolters Kluwer;

Your Profile:

  • You are a fully qualified Italian lawyer with at least eight to ten years of professional experience in an internationally operating company with complex structures;

  • You have good knowledge of contract, corporate, IP, privacy, and IT laws, as well as experience in relevant use cases in a commercial enterprise;

  • You have an affinity for technology subjects and a good understanding of technical and economic contexts;

  • You act independently and proactively, can prioritize topics and implement them in a structured and solution-oriented manner, and manage a team;

  • You have excellent legal acumen, rigorous analytic skills, superior legal drafting and negotiating skills;

  • You have strong communication skills and friendly persuasiveness, able to communicate confidently at eye level with demanding stakeholders;

  • You are fluent in Italian and English, both in oral and written communication;
