Indie Campers is a leading campervan marketplace on a mission to make road trips accessible to everyone. Our digital approach and customer-centric orientation have enabled us to develop a strong booking experience and offer high-quality road trips at affordable prices.
We have welcomed over 300,000 travelers from 169 countries, with more than one million nights rented through our travel platform. Our services include short-term RV rentals, long-term campervan subscriptions, and the possibility of buying one of our vehicles available for sale.
As we grow our team, we are looking for university students or recent graduates who are seeking genuine work experience, vocational placement, or an internship located in our Depot in Signa - Florence.
The Role
We are seeking an International Operations Intern who will represent our brand in person, providing our guests with world-class customer service when they start and finish road trips of a lifetime. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for front-office and back-office activities, including customer service and sales, operations handling, quality control, and support activities.
Responsibilities
Front-office activities:
- Customer service and sales: Take care of check-ins and check-outs, register guests, process payments, explain campervan functionalities, terms and conditions, and upsell road trip extras.
Back-office activities:
- Operations handling: Align the reservations with the available campervans, verify and prepare campervans and road trip extras and kits.
- Quality control: Maintain the campervans in top condition, identify and act on possible maintenance or repair needs.
- Support activities: Support the team in monitoring the existing stock, coordinating the fleet of campervans, troubleshooting operational issues.
Requirements
- You are a student or recent graduate in Hospitality, Tourism, International Studies, Business Administration, or a related field looking for an internship;
- You are fluent in English, have a work permit, and a valid driver's license (mandatory);
- You like international environments and meeting new cultures;
- You possess a natural talent for connecting with people and have a strong customer service orientation;
- You have a problem-solving mindset, thriving to create solutions, and feeling comfortable with getting your hands dirty;
- You want a dynamic internship where you can put into practice the theoretical knowledge of your degree.
What We Offer
- All internships are compensated, with the amount depending on location, country, and region (accommodation is not included);
