Job Description

**Project Control Manager**

The Project Control Manager is a key member of the project team, responsible for leading the project control team and coordinating the overall project control activities. This includes ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, company standards, and project director/project manager instructions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and collaborate on the overall project execution plan with the project director/project manager and key personnel.
  • Monitor the project execution plan and ensure it is applied throughout the project life cycle to achieve the proposed targets.
  • Create and maintain project control procedures, guidelines, and standards with the cooperation of project control engineers.
  • Coordinate the finalization and implementation of the project WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) involving project director/project manager and key personnel.
  • Ensure proficiency and autonomy in the use of company tools such as Primavera P6, Project Objects, SAP, and others.
  • Support the preparation of the hand-over package and coordinate the hand-over meeting with project key personnel and commercial division.
  • Prepare and fill the project control checklist for distribution to project team members.
  • Coordinate the preparation of top-down schedules and project schedules at different levels of detail.
  • Lead and organize project planning and progress workshops according to company procedures.
  • Represent the company, client, and internal stakeholders as the single point of reference for project control activities.
  • Ensure routine control activities to achieve completion time as per baseline and anticipate any adverse trends affecting targets.
  • Ensure overall project control among operational centers involved in project control activities.
  • Perform cost control of the project to ensure profitability as per original budget.
  • Conduct original budget preparation by coordinating project control resources and facilitating necessary inputs from commercial department.
  • Periodically conduct quantities variation assessment/analysis to re-evaluate time and cost forecast.
  • Lead project control setup activities, negotiating with client/stakeholders methodologies and formats to be used.
  • Assist and support project manager/director's decision with necessary information/trends.
  • Raise alerts when project control indicators show remarkable trends.
  • Evaluate scope changes, design modifications, and contract variance in terms of time and cost, supporting contract manager in preparing change orders towards the client.
