Job Description

Project Control Manager

Kinetics Technology is seeking a highly skilled Project Control Manager to lead our project control team and coordinate overall project control activities. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of projects.

Main Responsibilities
  • Project Execution Planning: Collaborate with the project director/project manager and key personnel to define and implement the project execution plan, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and company standards.
  • Project Monitoring and Control: Monitor the project execution plan and ensure its application throughout the project lifecycle, identifying and mitigating any potential risks or issues.
  • Project Control Procedures: Develop and maintain project control procedures, guidelines, and standards, ensuring consistency and feasibility in accordance with contractual requirements.
  • Work Breakdown Structure (WBS): Coordinate the finalization and implementation of the WBS, involving project director/project manager and key personnel to ensure overall consistency and feasibility.
  • Project Tools and Systems: Ensure proficiency and autonomy in the use of company tools, such as Primavera P6, Project Objects, SAP, and others, and coordinate their use among project control engineers.
  • Handover Package Preparation: Support the preparation of the handover package with the project contract manager and proposal manager, and coordinate the handover meeting with project key personnel and commercial division.
  • Project Control Check List: Prepare and properly fill the project control check list format for distribution to project team members.
  • Top-Down Schedule and Project Schedules: Coordinate the preparation of top-down schedules and project schedules at different levels of detail, involving project key personnel and ensuring their approval and freezing as project baselines.
  • Project Planning and Progress Workshops: Lead and periodically organize project planning and progress workshops according to company procedures.
  • Project Representation: Represent the company, client, and internal stakeholders as the single point of reference for all project control activities, working closely with the project director/project manager.
  • Project Control Activities: Ensure routine control activities to achieve completion time as per baseline, anticipating any possible adverse trends and suggesting remedial actions to the project director/project manager and involved project key members.
  • Operational Centre Coordination: Ensure overall project control among operational centres involved in project control activities, including other companies of the group, vendors, subcontractors, partners, and site.
  • Cost Control: Perform cost control of the project in collaboration with the project director/project manager and involved project key personnel, ensuring profitability as per the original budget.
  • Original Budget Preparation: Conduct original budget preparation by coordinating project control resources and facilitating necessary inputs receipt from commercial department.
  • Quantities Variation Assessment: Periodically conduct quantities variation assessment/analysis to re-evaluate time and cost forecast.
  • Project Control Setup: Lead project control setup activities, negotiating with client/stakeholders methodologies and formats to be used.
  • Project Support: Assist and support project manager/director's decision with necessary information/trends.
  • Project Alert System: Timely raise alert when project control indicators show remarkable trends.
  • Scope Changes and Contract Variance: Evaluate scope changes, design modifications, and contract variance in terms of time and cost, supporting contract manager in preparing change orders towards the client.
