Housing Assistance Coordinator

This role is integral to the housing management team, focusing on assisting military personnel, their families, and eligible civilians in securing off-post accommodations. The incumbent will engage with various stakeholders, including housing managers and property owners, to facilitate a smooth housing experience.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe Housing Referral Assistant will:
- Maintain a comprehensive, automated listing of available rental properties, ensuring it is non-discriminatory and up-to-date.
- Provide expert counseling on off-post housing options, considering individual needs and preferences.
- Guide personnel through leasing practices, including deposits, responsibilities, and termination notices.
- Conduct house inspections to ensure compliance with established standards.
- Assist in resolving complaints from residents and process housing applications efficiently.
- Prepare documentation for Temporary Lodging Allowance (TLA) and coordinate utility services for new arrivals.
- Facilitate language translation services for military families in various situations.
- Oversee mail services, ensuring efficient handling of all classes of mail.
- Assist with the processing of essential documents for social security and residency permits.
To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- A minimum of 1 year of specialized experience related to housing management.
- Education may be considered in lieu of experience, as per established standards.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is mandatory.
- A valid Italian driver's license type 'B' is required.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and extensive walking.
The successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a military driver's license equivalent to the Italian driver's license type 'B'.
