About the Role

The Senior Contract Attorney will provide legal advice and support in the drafting, review, and negotiation of agreements with minimal oversight. This individual will serve as the primary contact within the department and with internal and external customers for agreements assigned to their group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice and support in the drafting, review, and negotiation of agreements with PPD Clinical Research Services vendors, including clinical and corporate agreements.
  • Work independently, except for escalations per internal processes to the team AD.
  • Handle department matters and general legal concerns raised by internal customers and senior management.
Requirements
  • Law degree is required.
  • Previous experience with contract negotiations in an international company, providing knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 2 to 5 years).
  • Advanced level of English.
  • Previous experience with legal contracts negotiations within the CRO industry and experience with people management will be considered an advantage.
  • Leads the implementation of process improvement opportunities and oversees junior members of the department.
  • Develops and delivers appropriate legal trainings to business and legal team members.
  • The position provides the opportunity for management exposure of 1 or 2 direct reports.
