Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Chef to join our team at Jimnnicks. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our kitchen, ensuring that our high standards of food quality, safety, and service are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Provide direction, coaching, and training to kitchen staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve kitchen efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
  • Food Quality and Safety
    • Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards of quality, safety, and presentation.
    • Implement and maintain effective food safety and sanitation procedures to prevent contamination and foodborne illness.
  • Inventory and Cost Control
    • Oversee the ordering, receiving, and inventory of all kitchen supplies and ingredients.
    • Develop and implement strategies to control food costs, labor costs, and other kitchen expenses.
  • Team Development and Engagement
    • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing kitchen team.
    • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages teamwork, open communication, and employee engagement.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or culinary arts training preferred.
    • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant kitchen, with a proven track record of success in leadership and management roles.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures, as well as local health and safety regulations.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in a hot kitchen environment.
