Position Summary

The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for delivering exceptional onsite support for our diverse product range. This role involves calibration, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of materials testing systems across various locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver onsite assistance for the product portfolio, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Actively seek opportunities for new tools, machines, accessories, and additional services.
  • Maintain familiarity with the product life cycle to provide informed advice to clients regarding product obsolescence.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and report findings from customer sites.
  • Prepare thoroughly for each visit to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Plan travel and visits in a cost-effective manner.
  • Provide basic software training to clients as needed.
  • Ensure the quality of work meets company standards and maintain accurate administrative records.
  • Submit expenses and documentation promptly.
  • Contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing customer satisfaction, reducing costs, and improving quality.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma in a relevant technical field such as mechatronics, mechanics, electrical, or electronic engineering.
  • Experience in troubleshooting electromechanical and electronic systems.
  • Proven track record in a similar role.
  • Understanding of cost implications and their impact on margins.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, adaptable, resilient, and open-minded.
  • Team-oriented with a strong customer focus.
  • Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
  • Willingness to travel frequently.
