Postdoctoral Researcher in Software Design for Smart Navigation Systems

Our research focuses on designing software applications for smartphones and mobile devices to improve navigation for people in smart cities. We aim to develop a wearable electronic system that enables visually impaired individuals to navigate more autonomously.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team. The successful candidate will design application-level software associated with electronic systems developed during the project, both for general-purpose systems and portable devices (smartphones, tablets). The researcher will also collaborate with a multidisciplinary team involving mechanical and software engineers, write documentation for the implemented software, and contribute to the development of ad-hoc solutions to improve the state-of-the-art.
Requirements- PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar disciplines
- Documented experience in software design and development for portable devices (development frameworks, Android & iOS development tools, and Python programming language)
- Strong publication record
- Ability to properly report, organize, and publish research data
- Good command of spoken and written English
- Good knowledge of gitlab, github, and SVN
- Basic knowledge of Electronic PCB and schematics
- Good communication skills
- Strong problem-solving attitude
- High motivation to learn
