Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT) in Genova, Italy. The successful candidate will work on the design and development of a full-custom and battery-powered hardware device for navigation in smart cities, with a focus on improving the autonomy of elderly visually impaired people.
Responsibilities- Design and prototyping of electronic systems using commercial components
- Proactive cooperation in a multidisciplinary team involving mechanical and software engineers
- Writing of documentation of the implemented electronics to enable trials on subjects
- PhD in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunication, Microelectronics, and similar disciplines
- Documented experience on the design of electronic circuits (custom electronic boards)
- Good experience on firmware development for electronic systems
- Ability to properly report, organize and publish research data
- Good command in spoken and written English
