Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead our Financial Lines and Cyber PI Tech business in the Southern Europe region. As the Head of Underwriting and Risk Management, you will be responsible for developing and executing the strategy for our Financial Lines and Cyber PI Tech business, ensuring the successful achievement of our targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the strategy for Financial Lines and Cyber PI Tech business in the Southern Europe region.
  • Support the Financial Lines and Cyber PI Tech strategy to prepare and manage budgets and targets.
  • Steer and control the Financial Lines and Cyber PI Tech portfolio to drive financial targets.
  • Drive underwriting planning process and monitor adherence to plan.
  • Liaise with functional areas to review performance of end-to-end underwriting life cycle.
  • Work closely with Distribution, Claims, and other product lines to achieve key marketing strategies.
  • Ensure underwriting consistency and discipline, adhering to corporate guidelines and authority levels.
  • Support the development and implementation of new and/or modified products.
  • Maintain executive contacts and accompany the Underwriting of all core or strategic accounts.
  • Manage and coordinate Financial Lines and Cyber PI Tech local underwriting team.
  • Coordinate with local Distribution team to drive successful execution of strategic plan.
  • Communicate local business strategy externally.
  • Represent Allianz Commercial internally within the Allianz Group, and externally to the market.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Law or Business Administration.
  • Strong experience (min. 7 years) in underwriting profitable Financial Lines business for corporate clients, including Financial Institutions.
  • Expertise in risk assessment and a firm understanding of policy administration life cycle.
  • Sound knowledge of pricing, together with strong market analysis skills.
  • Ideally experience in designing, developing, and implementing consistent and robust wordings.
  • Ideally experience in driving underwriting projects.
  • People management and team management skills.
  • Strong communication skills and open cultural mindset to work with different countries of the Region.
  • Able to work in an international matrix organization.
  • Fluent in Italian and English, written and spoken.
