We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commis de Restaurant to join our team at Grand Hotel Timeo, a luxurious hotel located in the heart of Taormina. As a Commis de Restaurant, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food and beverage outlets, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and cleanliness.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Fulfill the operations of the Food & Beverage outlets according to the Company policies, high standards and procedures.
  • Take care of the mise en place.
  • Support the Bar Manager with service.
  • Clean and set-up floors, tables, chairs, linens, glass and silver for service.
  • Monitor all aspects of the customers' experience, from the bar layout before they arrive to the experience they receive during the service. Act to enhance a flawless service and anticipate Guests' needs.
Requirements:
  • Effective communication: communicate clearly and in an appropriate manner (both verbally and non-verbally).
  • Emotional intelligence: demonstrate sensitivity to the needs and emotions of guests and colleagues and adjust his/her style to them. Manage own emotions in challenging situations.
  • Adaptability: identify when a different approach is needed and offer solutions. Try and adopt new ways of doing things.
  • Collaboration: be able and willing to work as a team player and Share information and skills and actively seek and provide feedback.
Other Requirements:
  • Fluent in Italian and basic level of English.
  • Tourism or Hospitality degree preferred.
  • Previous professional experience in a similar role, also with school internships.
  • Passion for service and ambition to grow professionally.
