Technical Solutions Engineer – Territory
We are seeking a Technical Solutions Engineer to collaborate closely with a sales representative within a designated territory. The primary responsibility of the Technical Solutions Engineer will be to assist the sales organization in all technical aspects related to pre-sales, sales engagements, and post-sales support.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all technical components of the sales process with clients, from initial Requests for Information (RFIs) to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Quotations (RFQs) as necessary. This includes project management and active involvement in Proof of Concepts (POCs) in partnership with relevant internal teams and the customer or commercial partner. Exhibit the ability to listen and comprehend the technical needs of the client, discerning underlying requirements to construct a solution that surpasses competitor offerings. Act as the primary technical liaison for clients and partners, working closely with your sales counterpart. Continuously enhance your knowledge of Fortinet products and solutions while maintaining a comprehensive understanding of the competitive landscape and Fortinet's capability to deliver enduring protection against evolving threats. Effectively position Fortinet solutions to clients, whether remotely or in person, necessitating strong communication skills and the confidence to present through whiteboarding, technical documentation, and discussions. Manage your time efficiently while handling multiple deals concurrently, ensuring a positive experience for clients. Keep precise records of activities, contacts, and technical information regarding all clients and prospects in our CRM system.Qualifications
Possess a strong aptitude for security technologies, particularly in encryption and authentication, with additional knowledge in network security, intrusion detection, anti-virus, routing, switching, LAN, and WAN being advantageous. CISSP certification is a plus. Have experience in a pre-sales engineering role, managing the technical aspects of deals from initiation to technical closure. Demonstrate problem-solving abilities and how these skills have contributed to significant successes within your current organization. Show proficiency in building and maintaining client relationships, including the capacity to communicate technical information effectively to various stakeholders. Have a solid understanding of RADIUS, PKI, IKE, Certificates, L2TP, IPSEC, FIREWALL, 802.1Q, MD5, SSH, SSL, SHA1, DES, and 3DES.What You Can Expect From Us
