This role is essential in evaluating and reassessing eligibility for various social assistance programs. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting interviews to gather necessary information for eligibility evaluations.
  • Clarifying benefit programs and assessing the need for support.
  • Executing additional assigned tasks as required.
  • Providing emergency shelter services when necessary.

The Social Services Benefits Analyst II operates under established policies and guidelines, with certain responsibilities requiring independent decision-making. Important qualifications and skills for this position include:

  • Understanding of public service entities and financial aid programs.
  • Effective communication skills with a diverse population.
  • Proficiency in computer operations and relevant software applications.
  • Proven ability to analyze data, make informed decisions, and uphold confidentiality.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma accompanied by relevant work experience or equivalent training. Preferred qualifications encompass prior experience in financial assistance programs, benefits administration, and bilingual proficiency in Spanish.
