Role Overview

As a Finance Manager Fp&A, you will provide critical visibility to drive Amazon's business forward. The finance team plays a vital role as a constant adviser to the business, ensuring optimized finances and performance.

This role offers the opportunity to see how we make business decisions, gathering insights to shape our future. Amazon Business is a fast-growing startup, passionate about innovation and disrupting the status quo.

We stand at the intersection of tech and retail in the B2B space, developing innovative purchasing and procurement solutions to help businesses thrive. Our goal is to be the most recognized and preferred strategic partner for smart business buying.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide financial commentary, variance explanations, business insights, and risk opportunity assessments for new and existing business mechanisms.
  2. Partner with the FOOA and Profit Intelligence teams to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and on-time reporting.
  3. Lead True Business Cost mechanism to achieve a higher degree of controllership of our financials and actionable areas from a business perspective.
  4. Enable a more granular understanding of specific key PL lines by working with SMEs, such as unpacking GL Mix and Net PPM.
  5. Partner with the business finance team to develop new slices of the PL, highlighting opportunities and actionable areas.
  6. Track and understand broader Amazon changes on accounting with implications on AB reporting.
  7. Contribute and influence the next generation of PL Reporting Performance Management in partnership with the Fintech Product Manager.
Requirements
  1. Experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field.
  2. Experience applying key financial performance indicators to analyses.
  3. Experience building financial and operational reports/data sets informing business decision-making.
  4. Experience creating process improvements with automation and analysis.
  5. Experience participating in continuous improvement projects to scale and improve controllership with measurable results.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. MBA or CPA.
  2. Knowledge of SQL/ETL.
  3. Experience identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, root cause analysis, and creating escalation plans.
  4. Experience solving complex business challenges with accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations.
