Job Overview

We are seeking a talented R&D Laboratory Specialist to join our dynamic R&D Technical Category Chews & Gummies team based in Alba, Italy.

This role will provide an exciting opportunity to consolidate technical and managerial skills for a brilliant career path within the Ferrero Group.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Conducting all laboratory analysis, tests, and research in projects to support decision-making processes.
  • Ensuring the timely and efficient execution of laboratory tests in accordance with evolving legislation, guaranteeing analytical and interpretative reliability to protect consumers.
  • Supporting the manager in proposing solutions to improve product-related aspects, raw materials, semi-finished products, and production processes.
  • Participating in the study of new dosages and providing their drafting, collaborating with internal and external partners for new equipment and technologies, editing specifications, technical documentations, and guidelines.
  • Organizing the laboratory and contributing to the application of health and safety at work rules and HACCP protocols.
Requirements:

You will bring a university Master's Degree background in Food Technology, Food Engineering, or Food Science, equivalent qualifications accepted. Your experience in Sugar Confectionary food industries, particularly in R&D laboratories, should be around 4-5 years.

Your strong knowledge of sugar Confectionery raw materials and their functionalities in recipes and processes, focusing on sugars, glucose syrups, jellying agents, sweeteners, and flavors, will be key to this role.

You must have pilot plant or factory expertise of main Sugar Confectionery processes and technologies, specifically chewy, jelly, and gummy production dynamics, sample management, supply of raw and semi-finished products.

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position ranges from €60,000 to €80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
