About the Role

We are seeking motivated, self-starting, problem-solving, and collaborative candidates with a passion for the transportation industry and a strong analytical background. The intern will join our Modelling Team and must be very fluent in both Italian and English.

The successful candidate will join a team working on projects in Italy and abroad for public and private clients, such as local public transport operators, concessionaires, investment funds, financial entities, and public bodies.

Our projects include:

  • Traffic due diligence and transportation planning
  • Developing complex transportation models and related analytical tasks using a range of technical tools (VISUM, VISSIM, Emme, CUBE)
  • Collaboration with colleagues across the business to provide high-quality consulting and differentiated services to our clients

Requirements

Key requisites are:

  • Master's degree in planning, engineering, or a related field, ideally with a transportation focus
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with a good knowledge of spreadsheets (Excel)
  • Knowledge of Macrosimulation and/or Microsimulation Network modelling (VISUM/VISSIM)
  • Understanding and application of logit models
  • Good written and spoken communication skills, including the ability to explain technical details to a non-technical audience and to write reports and presentations in a logical and well-structured way
  • Ability to work in different teams, as well as independently
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the European Union without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Additional skills will be positively evaluated:

  • Knowledge of GIS software
  • Knowledge of Statistical analysis (R, Stata)
