Ensuring Safety and Security through Innovative Engineering Solutions

The Manufacturing Process Engineer plays a pivotal role in evaluating internal production methodologies, pinpointing inefficiencies, and implementing enhancements to boost productivity while upholding quality standards and minimizing expenses. This position requires close collaboration with various departments including Manufacturing, Planning, Maintenance, and Quality, ensuring that new initiatives and technological advancements align with product specifications and fulfill customer expectations. Additionally, the engineer will oversee stamping production and maintenance activities with external suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and uphold standardized operational procedures across all production workflows and assembly lines. Engage in projects aimed at enhancing plant productivity and innovating new processes. Conduct value stream assessments through kaizen events and the execution of lean initiatives to improve delivery timelines, maintain 5S standards, ensure safety compliance, and adhere to budgetary goals. Collaborate on the production floor to optimize operational KPIs such as cycle times, productivity, space utilization, and line design. Manage master data, routing, and Bill of Materials (BOMs). Oversee sheet metal stamping processes, coordinating with external suppliers and internal maintenance teams. Handle CAD 2D management of stamping drawings. Manage relationships with stamping suppliers. Implement and utilize various tools and methodologies, including: Standard Specifications for Purchased Equipment and Tools Standard Work aimed at achieving optimal cost, quality, and performance Plant Layout and Process Modifications Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and utilization metrics Total Productive Maintenance and Asset Management for Equipment and Tools 5S methodologies Takt time analysis Basic Problem-Solving techniques Documentation of process specifications and control plans New Product Development (NPD) checklist for Manufacturing Engineering

Required Qualifications

A degree in Engineering (Mechanical or related disciplines) is essential. Proficiency in English, both spoken and written. Previous experience in manufacturing environments is preferred.

Essential Competencies

Familiarity with technical drawings. Understanding of mechanical processes. Strong ability to execute tasks effectively within set timelines and budgets. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Project management capabilities. Knowledge of lean methodologies is advantageous. Technical expertise in redesigning production and assembly processes is preferred. Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD software. Understanding of stamping processes is a plus. A critical thinking and problem-solving mindset.
