Manager of Rail and Mass Transit Design

RINA is actively seeking a Manager of Rail and Mass Transit Design to enhance its operations within the International Infrastructure & Mobility Division.

Objective

The role involves overseeing the design of systems related to railways, light rail transit (LRT), and metro systems.

Primary Responsibilities

The selected candidate will lead the Project Team in the design activities for a railway or metro line. Responsibilities include collaborating with clients to meet their requirements, participating in technical review meetings, and ensuring timely availability of design deliverables.

The individual will assist the Project Team in evaluating technical documents (including design reports, drawings, method statements, and specifications), supervising construction activities (such as progress assessments and compliance with design standards), and preparing comprehensive reports, technical notes, and other correspondence that reflects the outcomes of reviews, analyses, and studies.

The candidate should possess strong expertise in Systems Design, including areas such as Telecommunications, Signaling, and Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems.

The role requires effective leadership skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic consultancy environment, potentially serving as a technical point of contact for specific areas of expertise.

Educational Background

A Master's Degree in Engineering is required.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the design and oversight of systems design, ideally within Railway and Mass Transit Projects;
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills;
  • Determination and resilience;
  • Leadership and motivational abilities.

Additional Considerations

The following attributes will be viewed favorably:

  • Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) projects;
  • Proficiency in English;
  • Knowledge of additional languages (e.g., French, Spanish, Arabic).
