Railway and Mass Transit Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary
Rina is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join its team in the Transport & Mobility Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the correct functioning and reliability of ventilation systems in tunnels and buildings for railway/metro/road design and construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on rail and road tunnel and building ventilation and safety systems.
- Identify and resolve mechanical and electrical faults and malfunctions.
- Oversee and participate in the design for installation of new systems and the upgrade of existing ones, ensuring proper sizing, configuration, and commissioning.
- Conduct periodic tests and inspections to ensure systems meet safety and quality standards.
- Prepare and maintain up-to-date technical documentation for the work performed, including maintenance reports and operational manuals.
- Work closely with other departments, such as civil (structural) and system design and Work Supervision, to ensure effective system integration and functionality.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering General.
- Experience in the railway/metro/tram/road infrastructure sector with a focus on ventilation and safety systems.
- In-depth knowledge of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) ventilation, and proficiency with design tools (e.g., fluid dynamics calculation tools).
- Knowledge of Drainage design and design tools is a plus, as well as Conditioning ones.
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and the ability to use computerized diagnostic tools.
- Good knowledge of both written and spoken English.
