Job Title: Information Management Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Information Management Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of information management systems, ensuring the security and integrity of our data, and providing technical expertise to our staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the development and implementation of information management systems, including database management and data visualization.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of our data, including physical and logical security measures.
  • Provide technical expertise to our staff, including training and support on information management tools and systems.
  • Participate in project management and programme meetings to exercise functional accountabilities of the information management function.
  • Represent the organization in relevant fora, staying abreast of information management trends, developments, and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Advanced university degree in computer and data management science, software engineering, information technology management, business administration, or another relevant technical field.
  • Five years of relevant professional experience in information technology management and business operations in a large international organization and/or corporation.
  • Working knowledge (proficient – level C) of English and limited knowledge (intermediate – level B) of another FAO official language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish).
  • Certification and/or proven experience in some of the following information management and information technology competencies: database management, information security, information technology audit and risk management, networks information security, and software engineering and programming.
