Key Responsibilities

The Maintenance Manager will oversee and enhance the Maintenance Team's capabilities to optimize both corrective and preventive maintenance strategies, thereby boosting production line efficiency.

  • Ensure adherence to maintenance protocols specific to the unique needs of various Business Units.
  • Guarantee the execution of corrective and preventive maintenance tasks, alongside continuous improvement initiatives, to uphold the operational efficiency of production machinery and equipment.
  • Supervise technical maintenance personnel to elevate their professional skills and maximize departmental efficiency, ensuring prompt resolution of breakdowns.
  • Facilitate the analysis and resolution of intricate issues within the operational domain and collaborate with Process Improvement Engineers on complex challenges.
  • Manage the development of team members, including performance management cycles, and work with production managers to implement autonomous line management teams.
  • Oversee external contractors to ensure compliance with established technical and safety standards.
  • Develop and track metrics for assessing machine reliability and maintainability.
  • Participate in productivity meetings, collaborating with production staff to identify and implement strategies for minimizing unplanned equipment failures.
  • Assist in creating daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance schedules based on loss data analysis, working closely with Reliability and Production teams to ensure adherence to planned activities.
  • Contribute to spare parts inventory management to optimize stock levels and ensure part availability while managing obsolescence.
  • Evaluate human resource skills periodically to identify training and development needs effectively.
  • Support technical staff in utilizing the CMMS system for managing maintenance work orders.
  • Assist in managing plant projects, ensuring compliance with investment plans and safety regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor workplace safety, ensuring a healthy and secure working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and occupational health regulations among staff.
  • Facilitate health surveillance and training as required for job roles.
  • Promote continuous technical knowledge enhancement for yourself and your team through ongoing training.
  • Ensure the proper creation, application, and updating of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in line with compliance and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.

Desired Qualifications

  • A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in global manufacturing environments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage with all organizational levels.
  • Previous experience in resource and project management.
  • Familiarity with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles.
  • Experience with Maximo CMMS system.
