Position Overview

The Maintenance Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing and enhancing the performance of the Maintenance Team, focusing on both corrective and preventive maintenance strategies to optimize production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to maintenance protocols tailored to the unique needs of various Business Units.
  • Oversee the execution of maintenance tasks, ensuring compliance with established standards and fostering continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead and mentor technical maintenance personnel to elevate their skills and departmental productivity.
  • Facilitate the resolution of intricate technical challenges, collaborating with Process Improvement Engineers as necessary.
  • Manage the development and performance evaluation of team members, working closely with production management to implement autonomous team structures.
  • Coordinate with external service providers to ensure compliance with technical specifications and safety regulations.
  • Establish and track metrics to assess machine reliability and maintainability.
  • Participate in productivity meetings, collaborating with production staff to identify and implement strategies to minimize unplanned equipment downtime.
  • Assist in the formulation of maintenance schedules by analyzing operational data and collaborating with Reliability and Production teams.
  • Contribute to the management of spare parts inventory, optimizing stock levels and addressing obsolescence issues.
  • Evaluate and enhance the skill sets of team members through regular assessments and targeted training initiatives.
  • Support the technical team in utilizing the CMMS for effective maintenance work order management.
  • Oversee plant projects from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor workplace safety, ensuring a healthy and secure environment for all personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and occupational health procedures among staff.
  • Facilitate necessary health surveillance and training for maintenance personnel.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development and ensure team members are up-to-date with industry knowledge.
  • Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in accordance with compliance and GMP standards.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.

Desired:

  • A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in a global manufacturing environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage with all organizational levels.
  • Previous experience in resource and project management.
  • Familiarity with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles.
  • Experience with Maximo CMMS is a plus.
