As part of the Amazon Robotics – Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging (MSP) Team, we are seeking an exceptional Quality Management System (QMS) Design Manager. This role entails defining, managing, and sustaining the MSP Quality Management System specifications through the planning, coordination, and execution of internal assessments of operational and safety-critical processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with internal stakeholders (Operations, Maintenance, Process, Ops Engineering, etc.) to gather their insights and translate them into QMS specifications.
  • Collect, define, update, and maintain the MSP QMS specifications while supporting their implementation.
  • Conduct audits on internal MSP product quality process specifications to ensure alignment with customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with the MSP Safety and Compliance Team to guarantee consistency between QMS specifications and the MSP Safety Management System.
  • Serve as the primary contact and subject matter expert for QMS and operational quality within the organization.
  • Assist in managing the scope, budget, schedule, issues, risks, communication, and other elements related to QMS.
  • Establish quality metrics for MSP products and support their implementation.
  • Ensure adherence to QMS processes and procedures during product testing and validation.
  • Maintain compliance of QMS specifications with applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, and organizational policies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (BS) in a relevant field.
  • Demonstrated experience in defining QMS specifications for advanced robotics, automotive, or mechatronic products, along with familiarity with quality management tools and data-management software.
  • Theoretical and practical experience in quality auditing, evaluation, and QMS design according to international standards and best practices.
  • Willingness to travel as required to various business locations and project sites.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree (MSc) in Engineering, Mechatronics, or Robotics.
  • Strong analytical, testing, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience with complex automated material handling equipment and systems, including AI and robotics.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with team members and management.
  • Project management skills to successfully plan, execute, and complete tasks.
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor and/or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification.
  • Proven experience in fulfillment systems and related automation equipment.
  • Knowledge of compliance standards and regulations, including quality and safety-related inspection processes.
