About the Role: The Amazon Robotics – Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging (MSP) Team is seeking a highly skilled Quality Management System (QMS) Design Manager. This role involves defining, managing, and sustaining the MSP Quality Management System specifications through meticulous planning, coordination, and execution of internal assessments focused on operational and safety-critical processes.

This leader will collaborate with:

  • Internal Customers: Engage with Operations, Maintenance, Process, and Ops Engineering teams to ensure that QMS specifications align with their requirements.
  • QA Execution Team: Ensure that the manual, virtual, and process validation are consistent with QMS specifications.
  • QMS Implementation Lead: Define and structure the QMS based on identified specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Connect with internal stakeholders to gather feedback and translate it into QMS specifications.
  • Define, update, and maintain the MSP QMS specifications while supporting their implementation.
  • Conduct audits on internal MSP product quality process specifications to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with the MSP Safety and Compliance Team to ensure QMS specifications are consistent with the Safety Management System.
  • Act as the primary contact and subject matter expert on QMS and operational quality.
  • Assist in managing the scope, budget, schedule, and communication related to QMS initiatives.
  • Establish quality metrics for MSP products and support their implementation.
  • Ensure adherence to QMS processes and procedures during product testing and validation.
  • Maintain compliance of QMS specifications with applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (BS) required.
  • Demonstrated experience in defining QMS specifications for advanced robotics, automotive, or mechatronic products, as well as familiarity with quality management tools and data-management software.
  • Hands-on experience in quality auditing and system design in accordance with international standards.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for business purposes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree (MSc) in Engineering, Mechatronics, or Robotics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with complex automated systems, including AI and robotics.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with team members and management.
  • Project management capabilities to successfully plan and execute tasks.
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor and/or Six Sigma certification preferred.
  • Familiarity with compliance standards and auditing processes.
