POSITION SUMMARY:

The Quality Assurance Teams at TE Connectivity are integral to the development and maintenance of the organization's Quality Management System. They engage in thorough evaluations of products, services, facilities, and manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with quality standards. This role involves the creation and execution of quality plans, programs, and procedures utilizing quality control statistics, lean manufacturing principles, and six-sigma methodologies. The team is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and reporting quality discrepancies, investigating issues, conducting quality audits, and formulating corrective actions for recurring problems. Close collaboration with manufacturing, engineering, customers, and suppliers is essential to meet all requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and maintain the Quality Management System in accordance with IATF 16949 and internal protocols. Lead training sessions on the Quality Management System and updates to internal directives. Oversee specific customer requirements and integrate them into internal guidelines. Employ Quality Core tools to enhance production processes and resolve customer or internal challenges. (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, including Control Plans / QIP / Flow charts, MSA, SPC, Problem Solving) Participate in Quality Projects aimed at sustaining and enhancing the quality system and performance. Conduct internal system audits, process evaluations, and other necessary assessments. Ensure compliance between directives and actual practices, notifying responsible personnel of any nonconformities. Prepare management reviews and provide regular updates on the status of the Quality Management System. Utilize TE tools for monitoring and improving quality production outcomes. Address customer complaints and internal issues using the 8D methodology and other problem-solving techniques as needed. Manage the appropriate handling of blocked stock. Contribute to FMEA and take ownership of Control Plans and other quality documentation for new projects, change management, and complaints.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field. Preferably some experience (even during studies) in quality or lean manufacturing in a production setting. Experience in the automotive industry is a plus. Background in quality assurance is advantageous. Familiarity with ISO 9001 / IATF 16949:2016 standards. Understanding of quality management systems per IATF 16949. Proficiency in problem-solving tools. Knowledge of statistical methods. Ability to analyze data effectively. Capacity to make data-driven decisions. Familiarity with Automotive Core Tools. Experience with Problem Solving/Global 8D methodology. Knowledge of VDA 6.3 Process Auditing. Proficient in English. Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Office.
